THE TEAM |
EDA Hi, I am Eda. I graduated from English Language Teaching Department at Hacettepe University. I am doing my master’s in Educational Technology at Gazi University. I have been teaching for about 3 years now. I don’t have any experience in team-teaching but it excites me a lot. I go for team-teaching because It is a brand new perspective in teaching. I believe that two heads are better than one. I believe that teaching together will create a positive and supportive atmosphere in the classroom. I hope we will have amazing experiences in this adventure and we can bring a new dimension to team-teaching by the work of “Me for We”. ÖZLEM Hi. I am Özlem… I have been teaching English for 12 years now, but I have never team- taught before. Team-teaching really excites me when I dream of myself and my colleagues THINKING, WORKING, PLANNING, TEACHING together for the good of our students and our own as teachers. I go for TEAM-TEACHING because I believe in the energy in one’s mind & heart can go into another’s by transforming knowledge into practice, isolation into communication and conflict into resolution... I believe in the power of plurality over singularity… believe wholeheartedly that when it is “Me for We”, it will make the best work in class. I hope I can contribute to my team with my own beliefs, values and opinions…and voices around will always challenge me for my professional growth henceforth. |
ELİF MELTEM Hi. I am Elif Meltem… I graduated from the University of Ankara in 2007. I am a postgraduate student in the field of teaching a foreign language in Ankara University. I have been teaching English for 9 years now. I have had team-taught for once and I really enjoyed during the lesson. I think Team-teaching is a creative and enjoyable way to teach something and it can enhance the teaching and learning experiences of students and teachers. I go for TEAM-TEACHING because I believe that it can improve our teaching skills and make us see teaching through the learners’eyes. I believe that team teaching is a great way to build collegial relationship and make us gain new insights. When students see that their teachers are working together, they understand the power of respect amongst peers. I hope I can contribute to my team with my own insights. Teaching may be overwhelming, but team- teaching can provide a system that helps us while doing our jobs. SEBAHAT Hi! I am Sebahat, I graduated from Gazi University in ELT department and I`m doing my master in the same department at Gazi University now. I`ve been teaching English in UTAA for two years, but I`ve never team-taught before. I think that team-teaching is an effective and alternative way to conduct my lesson in a creative and comfortable way. I go for team teaching because it is going to be a new experience to work with a partner in the same classroom. I am looking forward to teaching with another mind and authority in the classroom. I hope that sharing this new experience together will conturibute to our teaching philosophy as well as I can contribute to my team. |
HATİCE Hello…I am Hatice and I am fascinated by languages and music. I have been working as an ELT instructor for 2 years, and if you ask me what my greatest motivation is, I would say my passion about teaching and creating new worlds in my students. I hope that team-teaching will provide an environment for me to reshape my experience from a multimodal perspective. Thus, we can create an atmosphere in which we can share, contribute and exquisitely support each other to make our teaching even better. I also believe that with an innovative and cooperative nature, Team-Teaching practice will provide us with invaluable opportunity to exchange knowledge on our competences and skills by working at each step together. In this way, quality and quantity will make a whole at the end of the day. “Me for we” will change the way I see the authenticity of language learning. SEVİM Hi! I am Sevim. I graduated from the department of English Language Teaching at Hacettepe University in 2013. Within two years from the graduation, I started to study for my Master’s Degree in English Language Teaching at Gazi University. And I have been teaching English for about 3 years now. It is the first time I go for Team-Teaching this year because I believe the idea of bringing various perspectives into the classroom together with all the strengths we have will work best for not only the students but also us –as teachers, which means the combination of powers in fact. I hope we –as a team- will do a good collaborative work by making ‘Me’ turn into ‘We’. . |
